This is a basic, good green tea. I use enough for a 4-cup batch, but use only water for 1-cup. In this way, I can drink a condensed form of it at my work desk all day long. This keeps me from sneaking into the coffee room and getting my caffeine only from coffee sources. Not that this is bad (my company gets the best coffee in the world), but all too often there are high-calorie or high-salt snacks lurking in the coffee room, just waiting for you to bounce in there! Yikes!! And you always fall for it: I don't care who you are or how steeled your thoughts are against taking any "free" coffee-room snacks.

Getting back to the tea. This gunpowder green tea tastes great and it is entertaining too. The "gunpowder" is rolled up little balls of tea leaves, and if you make this in clear glass you can watch them unroll (explode, like gunpowder). This isn't the highest quality, but the price is right and it tastes good. Perfect for your average normal day. For that, I give it 5 stars.

I'm not a health nut by any means, yet I have often enjoyed a nice hot cup of green tea when I'm at my favorite sushi bar. However, when I'd tried my hand at making green tea with packets, I could never come close to replicating the flavor and texture of the tea that I'd grown accustomed to at said sushi bar. I'd even tried the $3 cup of green tea at Starbucks and it was a bitter experience for me.

On a whim I decided to search out a better green tea experience and I found this gem here on Amazon. The tin that the tea comes in was sealed securely. Upon opening the tin, inside there was a sealed bag that I opened and poured into the tin carefully. The arouma of the tea before brewing is pleasant to say the least - it has a fresh and mild scent that is not overbearing. Brewing the tea was as simple as adding a small amount (about half a teaspoon) to a cup of warm to hot water. I would not recommend boiling water as I did try that once and the tea clumped up at the bottom of the cup.

This green tea looks and tastes wonderful. I don't like adding sugar or sweeteners to my tea so it was an all natural taste. It's got a smooth flavor and is not at all bitter like many other brands I've tried. It tastes just as good as the green tea from the sushi bar and I'm more than pleased with it. As a side note, I notice that some reviews recommend using ceremonial tools to enhance the experience. I may try those tools in the future, but for now I am happy with the results of my rudimentary method for brewing.

One tip - remember that less is sometimes more. This small tin can last awhile if you ration the amount of tea you use per serving. Use too much and you may experience clumping at the bottom. Happy drinking!

Well, I'm hooked. I mean, I can't stop drinking this stuff. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, this tea is not bitter at all, and the kombucha rounds it out in such a way that, well, you start to crave it. Maybe a lot of it. Maybe that's OK...

I just broke down and bought a 6-pack of this from Amazon, as I've been spending waaay too much on it at my local grocer's.

I drink this two cups at a time. I'll be on my 3rd and 4th cups for the day in just a moment. I'm boiling water right now. Pathetic, ain't it?

±1±: Best Buy This was my first purchase of matcha green tea. I have always been a big green tea fan and I heard about the health benefits of matcha so I decided to try it. The benefits are definitely there, as you are ingesting the whole tea leaf.

This stuff is pretty cool, brightly colored green like nothing you have ever seen before. But, to be honest the taste is nothing special. Maybe I'm making it wrong but I don't know where these other reviewers are coming from. I'll keep trying different methods in an attempt to make this stuff taste better.

Regardless I can say this stuff is better than coffee for a boost in energy. And I love coffee. Does not have the negatives associated with coffee, such as jitters, or crashing, but instead you feel alert and attentive all day.

I had hartley green tea bags(sancha I think) and I liked the taste of that much better. on Sale!

Perhaps I received a "bad" batch, because I found this tea to have a significant amount of dirt and debris. I found sand-like grit, black and slightly metallic-looking flecks (not in anyway related to the tea) and so far, one piece of some sort of fuzz-like fiber and some other cork-like debris. I did not expect this. As for the taste, it's okay; not our favorite gunpowder green, but for the price, the taste was acceptable. Although, we felt it's a little too smokey, bitter and not enough "grassy". I think this would be a good tea mixed with other things, such as mint. A little of this goes a long way. I'm not sure if I'd order this brand again, perhaps one more try sometime in the future. Hope this helps!

You guys have to try it. Who needs to spend large amounts of cash when all you need is to go downstairs into your own kitchen? My 'Origins Modern Friction' exfoliater works great but my skin is far too sensitive for the ingredients. It stung my face when I washed it out. Until one morning, I was sipping my greentea when I suddenly had a thought and wondered if we can use greentea as an ingredient for our skin. We can!!! Greentea not only tastes wonderful but has promising benefits for our body and skin. This homemade mask is inexpensive and great for getting rid of dead skin cells (which can pile up giving you a dull complexion). By using the scrub when it is slightly warm, it opens our pores allowing the nutrients of the mask to cleanse deep within. I get questions by people asking me how they can reduce appearance of scars. The answer is by exfoliating and removing the scar tissues. You can even use this scrub on your body. The amount I reccomended is for 2-4 applications. You can adjust the recipe to make it more 'thick' or 'thin' so it suits yourself. I would reccomend you to exfoliate at least once a week. I've tried other k-cup green teas and find that the Twinings was the least bitter. Every morning before I go to work, I use a small Rubbermaid Mixermate container and fill it up at 11 oz with one flavored herb tea bag at the bottom. Green tea generally doesn't have alot of flavor so I add something to it so I still get the benefits.
